The AliDeck Balcony Fires Report 2020 – 2021 is an important intervention into the national conversation and underlines the importance of removing combustible materials from balconies and replacing with non-combustible alternatives such as aluminium decking as soon as possible.

With in-depth research conducted covering the whole of Great Britain, they revealed the shocking extent of fires on balconies over the last year, with 213 in total recorded across the UK. Most shockingly, almost half were caused by smoking materials such as carelessly discarded cigarettes.
